Senior Administrative Assistant to the Chief of Police
Location: City of Duluth, Georgia
Position Overview:
The City of Duluth is currently accepting applications for the position of Senior Administrative Assistant to the Chief of Police. This role provides high-level administrative and confidential clerical support to the Chief of Police and other members of the Police Department’s administrative staff.
Key responsibilities include:
• Preparing memos, reports, and other administrative documents
• Scheduling and coordinating travel, meetings, appointments, and special events
• Compiling and submitting weekly reports
• Interacting professionally and courteously with the public and city employees
• Managing sensitive and confidential information with integrity
Qualifications:
• High school diploma, state-issued GED, or equivalent (required)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a criminal justice/law enforcement environment (preferred)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Laserfiche (required)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to perform detail-oriented tasks with accuracy
• Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality and display high moral character
• Fluency in a foreign language (desirable)
Salary & Benefits:
Hiring Range: $23.00–$24.15 per hour
Grade 21 Annualized: $47,817–$50,207
Starting salary is based on qualifications, prior experience, and second language fluency
