NJPTC Certified Police Officers
SLEO II Waiver Eligible Police Officers
Minimum Requirements:
- Applicants must possess a Full New Jersey Police Training Commission Certification for Basic Course for Police Officers. Applicants currently attending a NJPTC certified police academy who anticipate receiving certification and those with certification for the Basic Course for Class Two Special Law Enforcement Officers who are NJPTC Waiver Eligible will also be considered.
- Must not be less than 18 years of age or more than 35 years of age
- Must be a citizen of the United States of America
- Must be a New Jersey resident at time of appointment
- Must possess a valid New Jersey driver's license
- Be able to read, write and speak the English language well.
- Have not been convicted of any criminal offense or offenses involving moral turpitude.
- Is sound in body and good health
- Pass an urinalysis drug test

A new (11) Step Salary Schedule
Starting Salary $63,900 to Top Patrol Officer Salary $134,065
