The mission of the New Milford Police Department is to enhance the quality of life in our community by working cooperatively with the public and within the framework of the United States and Connecticut Constitutions and statutes.  To enforce the laws equitably, preserve the peace, reduce fear, and provide for a safe environment for all our citizens.

GENERAL INFORMATION

The Town of New Milford is located in the southwest portion of Litchfield County with a population of approximately 30,000 residents. The town, which is 64.4 square miles, is served by a municipal police department comprised of 65 men and women; sworn and civilian personnel.

Aviation Unit Police Helicopter
Motorcycle Unit
Marine Patrol

Salary:

Based on Contract $58,588 to $84,489
