Hi, I was considering filling out the New Milford App. I am guessing that they schedule testing before the application close date? Do you know of other towns that do this?

Pass/Fail. If you fail one part of it, you're all done. You don't get to finish the rest.

It depends by department. Some departments want the 50%. Some will take the 40%. Check with the department you are applying for.

If you go to the FOR APPLICANTS tab on the top, then click on C.H.I.P. Forms on the left side. The PDF link is on the top of that description. I believe it is the fourth page that you need to have a doctor sign.

They are hiring 3 up front and up to an additional 5 after that. They are not protective services, they attend the Municiple academy and are one of only a handful of state agencies with national accredidation.

just some advice to all be very careful of what you talk about on these boards. They are monitored by the departments that you are applying for. Never talk about test specifics or tests period. I know people that have been disqualified for talking ab...

Depends on the dept...if they participate on this site they likely will require it at the time of the written test...others that conduct their own assesments obviously its not a prob

You can go get the chip card without actually being in the process with a dept. I beleive it is good for 6 mnths. I

It depends on the town you are applying for. A lot of towns now require that you submit a copy of the CHIP card with your application, or they require you to have one by time the written is given or you will not be allowed to take it. Read the appl...

Hartford is planning on April 16, 2007. Thats the word from a academy instructor. They are also going to have another class back to back after the one in April graduates!
