Go to a major book store, plenty of civil service study guides. Most of all, have patience with the process.

Barnes & Nobel have good study guides for many civil service tests. None of them will assure your passing, but they help. Most of all have patience with the process.

They usually test every two years, giving they tested in May of 09 they will probably test again in spring of 2011. You may want to monitor the CT Department of Public Safety website under State Police Recruitment and Selections page for updates.
