I too have an interview soon. I'm assuming it will be like my last protective service interview. Both an interview and oral board, rolled up in one. You plan on working with animals, huh.

Some towns have a contractual radius agreement while others have no requirement.

It depends on the department. Some departments want you to live in town, others want you to live within so many miles and other don't care.

Some will actually stipulate that you have to live in 30 miles/minutes or you will have x amount of time after you get hired to live in that distance.

Yeah Hartford messed with a lot of people! They never called me, only to find out the academy went in on 10/15. they took 38 only 22 were for Hartford the rest were for different depts. Then when I called they didnt even know I took the psych. test? ...

Don't feel bad, I just received my letter on the results of my oral with them on 10/11/07. They said I didn't pass. The funny thing is that I thought I did really well on the interview.
