  Message:  Got my letter yesturdy stating "you are qualified" to take the written. Not too sure what the quaified part means but its a $75.00 fee for city residents and $100.00 for other applicants to test. Test is scheduled for 4/18/08.

  Message:  As far as the written test goes (and this goes for any department you apply to), my suggestion is to get one of the test prep books. Barron's is the one that I found most helpful in prepping for the written exam

  Message:  i went there in november but then never heard back, they seemed like a decent bunch of guys, they were real relaxed it wasn't a stressful interview...know about the town and the kinds of work they do though, i messed that up

  Message:  I made it through the oral boards and had a final ranking of 230 or so. I think that may have been the reason why I never received a conditional offer.

  Message:  depends on where you are on the list. If you are in the top 20 you are going to the polygraph within the next week. If you're the second batch you are doing chiefs interviews and backgrounds now.
