Message:  Had the polygraph on the 9th and then the written psych on the 19th....I'm assuming they wouldn't have had me do the psych if I had not passed the polygraph....right?

Message:  Hey, it's 99% of your body weight. A word of adivce though, try to train yourself to be able to lift more, run faster, stretch farther and do more situps than what is required to pass the test. It will just make it easier for the day of the tes...

Message:  My department was going to send me to Milford's Academy in April, but they had to move it back to June due to Milford's background process, so they sent me to Meriden.

Message:  The earliest I heard was April or May, but it probably will be starting in June or July. It all boils down to how fast they will complete the hiring process.

Message:  I don't use free weights at the gym. I use an actual weight bench machine with the pin. The machine they use for the agility seems older and just not as accurate maybe? LOL oh well...I'm not complaing...just wondering if anyone else agrees....
  Posted by: LS -  3/15/2008 5:12:00 AM
Message:  It weights the same. 150lbs is 150lbs. It is easier due to the machine vs. free weights you are doing at the gym. Free weights require balancing which brings in more muscle groups, and the machine does bot require this.

Message:  I completely agree with you. When I did my agility it felt like I was lifting air, it felt so much easier. I'm not exactly sure why that is, but it's definitely true that some equipment is easier than others. Just depends on the machine. ...
