Resignation

Message: I currently resigned from the position of a Police Officer 5 month after my FTO was over, big mistake from my part. I been applied to several Police Departments with negative results. I’m looking for advice at this time.

  Message:  I went to the academy with two people who were police officers in the past and quit. One was on the job for 4 years and out for 5 years and the other was on for 5 years and out 8 years. They are now both police officers and doing well...again.

  Message:  Hey Man, Depends on your ranking. You should be receiving a sheet from SCCJA stating your rank for each of the departments you applied to. If it's high enough, a recruiting officer from the PD's will call you.

  Message:  It may take up to a month or two to hear any thing, depedning on your rank and how many people each dept processes before they find the "right" candidate. Just be patient.

  Message:  THey always say they are going to hire 40.. they get like 500 applications everytime.. You need to pass the exam with a 75 or better. but one of the best departments around

Message: I was given a conditional letter of employment by a dept last June, i passed everything including the poly, but tested positive for marijuana on my drug test..Its been almost a year since then..Do i still have a chance at getting hired by a dept?

  Message:  You MAY/MAYBE/MIGHT get hired at some point in the future, but you will have to let at least [ at the very least ] 3 years go by before you even think about applying again..But the actual failure of the test is going to be a huge strike against you.....
