Its called a dvr machine. you start in the down postion, push it up, lock out your elbows and your done. you do run on a track. situps are done with your hand cupping your ears with someone anchoring your feet to the ground. for the sit and reach you...

Sean will probably chime in to tell you, BUT I have always ran on a track when I take it. Bench press machine that is in a trailer so that it is accurate to them (tends to stick at about an inch and then glides easily up after that)..warm up bench p...

It was nice to meet you LT, Home visit for me thursday, It is getting close and hope we get warning before ( or if, I should say ) so I can use up some vacation time from my current job before I lose it! Good luck all in the Hartford process.

Well, there's not a whole lot you can do to "prepare" and as others have said don't try to "beat it". Trying to beat the test can actually get you disqualified if the examiner is suspious that you're using one of the stup...

it usually takes them about a month from what I hear. They had around 220 people at the test from what I heard so I figure they have 200 or so letters to invite people to continue to the agility.

Usually 2 yrs. with most departments, you can always call and inquire. West Hartford I believe is 4yrs.

Stratford has 2 people in Meridans academy, 2 people in Bpt's and 2 going to Stamford starting Monday. They are hiring a bunch of others for the Milford academy starting in June. Call HR to check your status, you may be in the last bunch.

As far as I know, unless it is not a Class A or B misdemeanor in the state of CT, it will not disqualify you from the application, although I'm sure they will ask for some explination regaurding the arrests.
