  Message:  I actually just had mine today. It's pretty standard although it varies by department. They check your vision and hearing, reflexes and what not. They also draw some blood and have a few tests regarding your heart. Took about 15-20 minutes.

Bench press

  Message:  Do alot of pushups between two chairs. Start with your body being as low as possible between to the two chairs and push your self all the way up. Doing other types of bench pressing methods also helps.

  Message:  like you said it depends on the department you go for. if the worst thing you have on your record is a DUI, you'll get picked up some where. just keep trying

  Message:  It was a few years back when it happend. I know some departments will not hire with any DUI convictions i just hope it does not ruin my chances of becoming a cop.

  Message:  I found out that they are conducting their interviews today and tomorrow. They took the top 25 and that is including 3 certified officers. Good luck on your interview.

  Message:  goin4it, just to let you know that was to oral review board, not the chief's interview. You will have an interview with the chief as the last phase consisting of what the other guy said.

  Message:  I was called for an oral board with Vernon and never heard from anyone else. Avon and farmington both have hiring freezes so you won't hear till next quater from them.
