Message: does anyone know what subjects are tested on the Stamford police written test. Example memory, situation judgment. I need to know what subjects are on the written test in order to prepare. thanks so much!

  Message:  It is an unclassified misdemeanor. It becomes a felony after the third or fourth offense. Given the 8-year time frame, some departments will still consider you.

  Message:  To the best of my knowledge, DWI is a class C misdemeanor. Some, but not all, departments may consider you for employment.

Message: This is for any current officers involved in the hiring process: If an applicant washed out after the backgound / poly (and doesn't know which it was) is it possible that they would be reconsidered during another hiring period?

  Message:  Every department is different on how they score the personality questions. If you answer them truthfully, then you'll be fine. Don't sweat them too much.
