Drug Test

Message: What type of drug test is used for police applicants? Is it only a urinalysis?

  Message:  I would plan on your drug test to be a blood or hair test since they are more accurate.

  Message:  Generally yes, but that doesn't mean they won't do a blood test. I think it all depends on how much the department is willing to spend.

  Message:  I read in the paper that they hired three people but all I heard from Fairfield was that I passed and they would contact me but never heard anything.

Message: has anyone heard anything in regards to branfords part time academy? it was postponed last sept to start in spring of 09 i took sccja testing earlier this year and havent heard anything on branford

  Message:  Unless your talking the CT State PD or Correction Officer exam, then you'll need a study guide. But as far as local CT PD agencies they don't provide study guides. Most of the exams are basic math and reading questions.

  Message:  I've gotten a letter about my ranking that says they will contact me about background check process if/when it begins. But some guys I talk to in Stamford say it is very unlikely they are hiring now.

Message: The next C.H.I.P test I am able to take is October 3rd, 2009. However, the Monroe Police wriiten exam is the same day, but I'm suppose to compete the C.H.I.P test before the written test. Any one else have this conflict??
